I’ve been staying at Sunrise Motel for a few years now – typically random weekend getaways. It’s about a 3 hour drive from my home. I just returned from a 2 night mid-week stay. For me, it’s all about location with this place. If I’m going to make the trek to the seacoast, I’m going to stay ON the seacoast. With the ocean directly across the street, it couldn’t get any better be it falling asleep to the roar of the ocean waves, sipping coffee outside my sliding glass door as the sun rises over the ocean or lounging outside at night catching the red flash of Nubble Lighthouse and white flash of Boon Island. This location allows for the luxury of being directly on Long Sands but just outside traffic congestion. The rooms are clean, staff is friendly and ocean sights and sounds are a given! **Rated average on breakfast although there was no breakfast included with my stay and I couldn’t opt out of rating.
